Accreditation CPD


The Canadian Association of Nuclear Medicine (CANM) is an accredited provider for the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The CANM can review and approve group learning activities (Section 1) and self-assessment programs (Section 3) that have been developed by physician organizations.


Group Learning Activities (Section 1)


Group Learning Activities eligible for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Section 1 Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program include large or small group learning activities that meet defined educational criteria and ethical standards. For conferences to be included under Section 1, they must be approved by an accredited provider recognized by the Royal College, such as the Canadian Association of Nuclear Medicine (CANM).

  • Application to have a group learning activity accredited by the CANM

Self-Assessment Programs (Section 3)


Self-Assessment Programs are learning modules physicians can complete independently. They can be found on line or in hard copy. They allow participants to claim two (2) credits for the Royal College’s MOC Program for every hour of learning.

            -  Bioethic Modules- Royal College

            -  ASNC: Strategies for Reducing Radiation Dose Levels

  • Application to have a self-assessment program accredited by the CANM.
