The Division of Nuclear Medicine in the Eastern Health Regional Health Authority, St. John’s, NL, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Physician.

Eligible candidates must hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of NL. Additional training or fellowships such as in Diagnostic Radiology, would be an advantage.

Provincial Medical Imaging Physicist

Reporting to the program’s provincial Medical Director while working in concert with regional Medical Physicists, the Medical Imaging Physicist develops and oversees a comprehensive provincial quality assurance program as it relates to Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) scanners and associated equipment at each regional Functional Imaging facility as well as develops and oversees quantitative dosimetry studies performed for clinical therapeutic and diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures (clinical and research) at the Vancouver Centre. The Medical Imaging Physicist will also liaise with the regional Medical Physicists and Radiation Safety Officers in maintaining regulatory compliant radiation safety programs in each regional facility and participates in research by developing/implementing new imaging and data analysis techniques/methodologies, maintaining research imaging servers, and teaching staff/students on current and new imaging developments at the Vancouver Centre.

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Diagnostic Imaging Program, and The University of Manitoba Department of Radiology Section of Nuclear Medicine invites applications for a dual trained Nuclear Medicine and Radiologist physician. This will be for a clinical position located at the Health Sciences Centre(HSC). The responsibilities will include supervision and interpretation of examinations, commitment to high-quality patient care, teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate) and research.
